What patients see in the portal

On this page

The patient portal is the patient-facing side of Tarsi. Knowing what patients see makes you faster at helping them. This guide covers the portal and how to get patients into it.

What patients see

Signed in, a patient can view upcoming and past appointments, their before/after photos, invoices and balances, signed consents, and your FAQ. They can also book and manage visits themselves, which takes pressure off your front desk.

Guiding a patient in

Share your portal link, or let appointment confirmations carry it. Most patients self-serve once they are in. The first time, they verify their email to claim their record.

Privacy

Patients only ever see their own records — never another patient's. Access is tied to their verified identity, not your org as a whole.

Common questions

A patient cannot log in — how do I help?

See A patient cannot log into the portal — it is almost always an email mismatch or an unverified address.

Do patients need an app?

No. The portal runs in any browser and can be added to a phone home screen; there is nothing to download.

Can a patient book through the portal?

Yes — the portal uses the same real availability as your public booking page, so self-booked appointments respect provider schedules.
